According to The SME Central Association, the government is promoting foreign workers entry to Korea, especially with the fields of the manufacturing sector due to the shortage of human resources. 

They are plans to increase the supply and demand of primary human resources on manufacturing due to collapsed labor market. The labor market is suffering, problems caused by the suspension of entry of foreign workers, 96.5% of the foreign labor is dropped since the past 4 months.

 If this situation continues, there will be significant damages on agricultural and fishing market. 

One of an official said, "Manufacturers are standing on Maginot line, we are happy to cover foreign labor's COVID-19 testing cost, and will work with the government to bring foreign workers via charter flight.
